Institute of Automation and Control Systems (AVATI ) is a methodical and academic centre of
advanced automation and intelligent control systems in Lithuania. Newest equipment and methodical materials are collected here in cooperation with Lithuanian automation companies. Educational forums and seminars are held at the institute. The specialists from different companies have a possibility to share their newest ideas and experience in the field of automation and control systems and to meet the scientific innovations.
Institute organizes regularly scientific conferences and qualification raising courses for people working in the field of industrial automation and control systems.
AVATI is a structural subdivision of faculty of electrical and control engineering, Kaunas University of Technology. AVATI coordinates scientific and educational activities in automation and control systems field. Scientific potential of AVATI consists of scientists and science groups from three departments - department of process control, department of control systems and department of applied electronics. Scientists and science groups cooperate on a voluntary basis. Scientific and applied researches are carried out in the educational and scientific laboratories of the departments.

AVATI industrial partners also take an active part in AVATI activities. They significantly contribute in developing of technical basis for the faculty and the institute. AVATI organizes temporary scientific groups for the solving of specific scientific and technical problems in automation and intelligent control systems.
